API auth, what Finanly reads from the ledger, and what it posts back.

4 min readerpnextledgerpostings

ERPNext is today's ledger of record. Finanly reads reference data from it and posts approved entries back through the ERPNext connector service.

Reads

  • Chart of accounts and cost centers (Accounting pages)
  • Customers and suppliers (Parties), products with custom fields (Products, Metadata)
  • Sales, purchase and recurring invoices (Invoicing)
  • Balance sheet, P&L and trial balance (Reports), parity-checked hourly
  • GL entries, invoices, parties and addresses into the canonical store for BI

Writes

  • Journal and payment entries from approved categorizations (export batches)
  • Invoice creation and sending
  • Landed cost vouchers, stock entries from fulfillment sync

Setup

  1. Settings → Integrations → ERPNext: site URL, API key and secret.
  2. Admin → Ledger Sync to run the first reference-data sync.
  3. Check Accounting → Chart of Accounts to confirm the tree loaded.
